About Us

We at CMGE believe English language learners deserve and need a quality English language assessment.

CM Global English believes and supports a dynamic, multicultural Canada, where a diverse population can strive in a harmonious society in which we can communicate with and understand each other through an ability to fluently  express ourselves in one or both of Canada’s two official languages.

For the Newcomer or Canadian student, fluency in English or French is essential for academic and career success within Canada. This also is true for the International student, if they hope to graduate and have a successful study-abroad experience. The English language learner learns best when they are in Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Support, where instruction is neither too challenging and frustrating nor too easy and perceived as not worthy of their time. It is the zone where the student is best able to acquire English, in a relevant, meaningful, and engaging learning environment, guided with the appropriate, scaffolding support of the teacher.

Assessment and instruction go hand in hand. A good assessment will place the student within the  Zone of Proximal Support. CMGE strives to deliver such assessments. Our intention is to inform teachers  through a comprehensive indication of the support needed to best scaffold the student’s acquisition of English. The CMGE English levels are support levels.

We aim for continuous improvement  in delivering assessments that support learners and support teachers in providing an accurate, reliable, but easy-to-use assessment solution.
