Student Privacy is a Priority

Data Privacy

CM Global English collects minimal personal information on your students. We require and store only their name or if you prefer, only an ID number. We do not disclose personal information to third parties without express consent from the client. Access is role based and access is only given to teachers requested by your designated CMGE Administrator.

Data can only be accessed by teachers/admins who have been granted access by your organization (You can have individual teacher access removed at any time, if for example, a teacher leaves your school or school district.). CMGE support staff are given only the student identifiable information they need to deliver the support. CMGE staff who have access to the program code and data have NDAs and privacy agreements.

The only personal information that can be edited or updated in the CMGE system is the student name and school. Assigning student names and schools is optional and solely at the discretion of your CMGE Administrator.

Data Security

Data is housed on our secure servers in the Landmark Technology Centre in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Security policies are in force as per AT 101 SOC 2 Type II certifications and data centre staff have RCMP criminal record checks. The data centre is equipped with state-of-the-art security technology, with 24/7 video security recording, monitored entry alarm, and 4 factor authentication. CMGE staff that have access to program code and student data have signed NDA’s and privacy agreements.

Student Contact

We have NO contact with students. If students, parents or guardians require support they must go through their assigned teacher or CMGE administrator.
